The Guide provides oversight for all non-nursing aspects of the daily operations of one or more Green House style nursing homes. They directly supervise all Shahbaz colleagues in the houses across campus. Their primary role is to guide and coach the self-managed work team, and to insure quality of services delivered to the elders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provide guidance and coaching to all members to the self-managed work team. Work with each team member individually achieve their best possible experience as a team member.
2. Provide feedback to the team about all quality and financial performance indicators – guide team in quality improvement activities.
3. Facilitate communication within the team as well as with Clinical support team members who interface with the team and elders in the home.
4. Ensure elders needs, both social and clinical are being met, and that each elder is achieving their best possible life experience living at home. Communicate regularly with both elders and family members.
5. Provide individual feedback to team members, including regular performance appraisals. Hire new team members (with input from team) and terminate staff when necessary.
6. Monitor budget performance of home, review payroll and non-payroll expense data monthly.
7. Identify training and resource needs of the home and schedule these.
8. Must be comfortable with a coaching style of leadership, and adept at relationship-building.
MENTAL/VISUAL/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to communicate with elders, Shahbazim, families, and clinical support team members.Must be able to read and understand multiple reports- quality, regulatory, financial.Must be physically present in the home on a regular basis in order to enhance the relationship-building that is key to this role.Must be available via phone, and occasionally in person, outside of normal working hours.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Experience as a manager preferably within the field of long-term care.LPN License (required)Preferable experience in a clinical area: therapy, social work, nursing, etc.Bachelor's degree preferred)Good knowledge of nursing home policies/procedures and regulations.Proficiency with email and other computer skills.Ability to learn how to use various clinical documentation skills and the clinical technology installed in each home on campusMust be able to identify problems and help team to consider options and select a course of action.Must be comfortable interacting with many internal and external "customers" on a regular basis. (e.g. Elders, Family members, Shahbazim, Clinical Support Team members, Facility Leadership, Team/colleagues, Regulators)Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.15 - $35.00 per hour
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
