Job Duties 

This position will be responsible for the oversite of biomedical equipment services to development, implementation, integration, inventory, and life-cycle of imaging equipment.  This position will provide the critical data needed to track Key Performance Indicators, contract vs. in-house support, and analyze team performance, comparing against targets and benchmarks.

Day shift; full-time, Monday-Friday

Job Duties

Leadership
Apply knowledge and experience of technology and/or equipment to oversee site operations and provide direction to others
Motivate others through praise, recognition, and rewards
Manage personnel by staffing and scheduling technicians in a manner that assures the best service possible
Coach and mentor technicians by providing feedback on performance and documentation habits
Mentor, coach, and develop others to deliver continuous service excellence

Administer MEMP to Key Performance Measures
Manage Service Operations functions, such as service contracts and resources. Insure all documentation is completed for CM, PM, FSR, and all data integrity.
Answer questions and meet with others to discern the root cause of technological/process problems
Manage inventory (onboarding/off-boarding)
Develop service strategies with an outlook of continuous process improvement. Provide metrics to Sr. Director and work to meet these requirements
Manage Joint Commission inspections and make sure open work orders are made a priority and that performance assurance inspections are documented

Account Management & Development
Build and maintain relationships with customers by employing interpersonal and conflict management skills
Effectively collaborate with customers and vendors to develop win-win solutions
Monitor each modality after setting financial and performance benchmarks
Identify and pursue opportunities for business entry
Manage financial performance

Deliver Financial Commitments
Develops and manages all facets of HTM and hospital departmental budgets and financial reporting processes to meet or exceed financial commitments.
Provides counsel to client regarding purchases of new capital equipment.
Seeks out new business opportunities for HTM within assigned hospital, and delivers base business growth.

 

Education
Associate's Degree in related field required
Bachelor of Science degree in electronic engineering, business management, computer engineering and/or related field preferred

Experience
8 years Healthcare technology management in the repair and maintenance of medical devices required
2 years leading Healthcare Technology Management field service technicians required

Licenses and Certifications
Drivers License-Valid drivers license required upon hire
IT-ILC - IT Infrastructure Library Certification required within two years of hire
Completion of Networking+ Foundation Course required within two years of hire
Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES), or Certified Healthcare Technology Manager (CHTM) required within two years of hire

Skills
Understanding of network and computer hardware. Ability to understand operational procedures, test procedures, and project management. Ability to perform detailed work and multitasking, and the ability to document all work performed according to established policy and procedures. Detailed oriented and have strong organization skills, maintain working relationships and networking with end users of medical devices and vendors.

 

Education
Associate's Degree in related field required
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Science degree in electronic engineering, business management, computer engineering and/or related field preferred

Experience
8 years Healthcare technology management in the repair and maintenance of medical devices and 2 years leading Healthcare Technology Management field service technicians required

Licenses and Certifications
