Manager HIM Systems Analysts

Job Description:

This position is responsible for the coordination and management of Ambulatory electronic health record, HIM

standards, and Health Information Management projects related to ambulatory EHR implementations, including

oversight of enterprise content capture across all IMH regions.

Essential Functions

· Responsible for monitoring department performance through metrics and KPIs to ensure department

meets monthly productivity and quality goals.

· Partners with the department director and leadership team to identify and drive quality and performance

improvement initiatives.

· Facilitates collaboration of cross-functional teams in a project environment with an emphasis on quality,

productivity, and consistency. Develops action plans in line with meeting and organizational strategic

goals and initiatives.

· Works closely with vendor account manager to ensure systems are meeting operational requirements.

· Manages relationships with project stakeholders including governance, leadership, end-users, and

consultants. Has strong industry knowledge that can develop innovative solutions.

· Participates in establishing mechanisms to design, measure, maintain, and improve the performance and

quality of department services.

· Promotes effective working relationships and works effectively as part of a department/unit team and

interdepartmentally to facilitate that department’s ability to meet its goals and objective.

· Participates in interdisciplinary committees throughout the organization.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or healthcare business management related field preferred.  · Leadership experience in healthcare is required.  · Managing and leading large healthcare projects is preferred. · RHIT/RHIA or equivalent healthcare certification is preferred.  · Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office, internet and email required.     · Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.   · Ability to travel is required.

Physical Requirements · Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs. · Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. · Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc. · May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts. · For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$37.98 - $58.61
