MH: House Support Manager- (Full Time, Days)
Job Summary: The Nurse Manager-House Support provides administrative, human resource, and financial management in collaboration with the Executive Director for designated area(s) that provide direct and indirect patient care for an age-specific population with a defined scope of service. Ensures areas of responsibility comply with requirements of planning, regulatory, inspecting agencies, and Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta's (LLUMC-Murrieta) policies. Assists with project facilitation and management for unit and department-specific performance improvement and patient safety program as requested. Mentors and coaches staff in transforming culture, processes, and clinical practice to meet the demands of cutting-edge health care delivery. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Associate's in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or healthcare related field from an accredited school required OR enrolled in Bachelor's Degree program with progress reports post-employment. Minimum three years nursing experience which has provided opportunity to demonstrate competencies in clinical nursing, leadership, administration, education, and staff development required.
Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations. Basic knowledge of medical staff structure, finance, performance improvement methodologies, and statistical principles required. Must have well developed oral and written communication skills. Must be able to speak English and relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; team build; provide leadership; supervise; train and develop people in the realm of patient safety, quality and performance improvement; be assertive and consistent in following and enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; teach and mentor; collaborate; analyze and interpret data and process flow; collaboratively and objectively problem solve accompanied by problem resolution skills; organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously; accept direction; think critically; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, electronic medical record, electronic event reporting program; prioritize time-sensitive resolution of time-sensitive issues and workload; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the work place; see adequately to read computer screens, medical records, and written documents necessary to position; exhibit professional dress and behavior at all times.
Licensures and Certifications: Active California Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure required. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
