**Job Description**
The BAE Systems Combat Vehicles site located in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a first Shift Floor Support Engineering Manager. This role will be tasked to provide leadership and management of technical support for manufacturing processes at York, PA and other Combat Vehicles sites. These processes include all aspects of combat vehicle fabrication, assembly and test. Floor Support Engineering is the first responder to production issues in manufacturing and has the responsibility to ensure all technical outcomes are consistent with established manufacturing engineering principles and practices and that customer and company technical, system, performance, and quality requirements are met.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Directs and manages Manufacturing Engineering support activities related to vehicle fabrication, assembly and test.
Provides both direct and indirect management of approximately fifteen (15) Manufacturing Engineers.
Supports a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Analyzes and reviews schedules, production requirements, and headcount to ensure the most cost effective and efficient use of resources.
Ensures projects are completed on time and meet quality expectations.
Contributes to the creation and implementation of best practices, manufacturing strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
Leads and manages innovation by developing new technologies that support manufacturing, implementing process improvements/value creation projects and sharing of best practices across Combat Vehicles.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant engineering discipline(s), industry best practices, business trends, and application of new technology.
Provides guidance on advanced knowledge of engineering and scientific principles and practices in areas of specialized expertise to develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
Prepares, presents, and defends project technical results and recommendations to customers. Participates in formal technical reviews.

+ PFEMA activity
+ Support design engineering for production change requests and impact analysis
+ Responsible for results of assigned functional staff and overseeing all personnel related activities including performance management, career development, coaching, training, hiring and resolution of inter/intra group conflict.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ 6 Years with a bachelor's degree in a technical area and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Leadership and people development skills
+ Ability to motivate and lead teams effectively
+ Strong communication skills
+ Excellent knowledge of products and advanced knowledge of functional or technical area
+ Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices in area of expertise
+ Excellent interpersonal, relationship building skills
+ Strong problem solving and analytical skills
+ Ability to work effectively with cross-functional business teams
+ Effective at handling multiple projects simultaneously
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Engineering experience with relevant applications in a defense environment a plus
+ Specialized technical knowledge of relevant military and commercial design standards
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
