As the Manager I, Operations, you will supervise a team of digital content associates. As part of the global program of Localization, your team will be in charge of quality, accuracy and localization in subtitles. Through production support, the team will validate accuracy of contents and correct or improve accuracy when necessary; through collaboration with AI tools, the team will continuously improve the effectiveness of technology to transcript and translate content. The team will also support internal audits to ensure our customers get the best subtitles, improving their streaming experience
As a manager, you will be in charge of defined problems by delegating tasks, identifying roadblocks and recommending trade-offs. You will also be responsible for delivering on team goals, providing guidance or coaching to your direct reports and for hiring new talent. To succeed in this role, you will need a proven track record of leading operational teams, executing deliverables with guidance, communicating effectively and improving operational processes by driving standardization or resource optimization.
Please note that this is a Madrid office-based role.
Key job responsibilities
* Manage a team of 15 - 20 employees on tasks related to localization, quality and correction of subtitles
* Partner with internal and external teams to execute business goals
* Guide and own Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and share best practices across all teams
* Plan and commit to deliverables by managing the team resources and infrastructure, queue, shifts, cross training, and time off.
* Provide support for the optimization of various operations, team productivity, customer experience and workforce metrics
* Perform root cause analysis and create documentation to reflect the identified gaps, problem, root cause and solutions.
* Initiate and lead process improvement projects, present solutions, and implement them to relevant operational areas
* Evaluate existing team members and hire new ones while applying the Amazon hiring bar.
About the team
Along with two other sites (Chennai, India and San Jose, Costa Rica), the Prime Video Global Operations team (also known as Digiflex) partners with a wide range of stakeholders across the Prime Video (Program, Business, Partner Operations, Tech, Product, Research and Science, etc) to oversee asset deliveries, system processing and assembly, and on-time, defect free, and complete content publishing to Prime Video’s global audience. We obsess over ensuring that every search, discovery and playback interaction with Prime Video (PV) is device agnostic, defect free and results in a high engagement experience for Customers. Digiflex Operations organization plays an essential role at Prime Video, ensuring that the content that powers our vision to be the premier source of global entertainment, is complete and correct.
Basic Qualifications
-Experience as people manager or supervisor, ideally of multicultural teams
-Background in operations, shared services, customer service or any discipline with focus on customer and process improvement
-Fluent in English and another European Language (Preferably French)
-Effective communication skills, managing stakeholders at senior levels
-Experience using Microsoft office tools including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
-Experience in data analysis, either through professional experience or education
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Post house/Studios industry in the content publishing or quality management domain -Experience and understanding of digital media and/or digital video supply chain
-Experience in content publishing, quality and data labelling
