North America Placement Support Manager Job Description
Guy Carpenter’s North America Broking Support Services unit (“BSS”) comprises a team of colleagues providing key reinsurance contracts, placement, and administrative support to our clients and customer-facing colleagues.
The team plays a critical role in delivering our client value proposition while driving consistency and compliance. Our Placement Support Team is comprised of colleagues delivering key placement and administrative functions, ensuring complete and timely compliance with quality and regulatory- driven processes and procedures.
We are currently seeking a North America Placement Support Manager for Guy Carpenter's Broking Support Services team. This position can be based in our Philadelphia, New York, Seattle, Atlanta, Morristown or Edina, MN offices.

In conjunction with more senior team members, manage monthly revenue recognition process for assigned accountsHave oversight and responsibility for placement support on all team-assigned accountsSupport/coach/assist team members on all placement support activities, stepping in to assist where neededLead/monitor/update placement operational reporting/escalationLead and/or participate in placement support team meetingsActively monitor team status and re-balance/step into work as neededManage hiring process for open positions on team, including interviewing, hiring recommendations, on-boarding, trainingResponsibility for ongoing performance feedback, annual performance reviews, promotion recommendations, and performance remediation as neededImplement and lead BSS-wide objectives among the direct reports comprising your teamWhat you need to have:
5+ years’ experience in underwriting/broking and/or reinsurance brokingStrong knowledge of and ability to appropriately apply reinsurance placement concepts and principles and familiarity with basic regulations of the region.Bachelor’s Degree; Risk Management degree a plusAdvanced MS Office skills, specifically a strong proficiency in PowerPoint & ExcelWhat makes you stand out:

All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $91,100 to $167,200.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
