**About the Role**
As a Manager in the Business Applications team, you will be responsible for building solutions at global scale and delivering a world-class Legal Technology Stack for the **Legal** and **Public Safety Team**. Your responsibilities extend from managing a team of engineers to collaborating with cross-functional teams and serving as a key point of contact and technical subject matter expert to support and maintain Uber’s Legal tech stack including Matter Management, Public Safety Response Portal, eBilling, Export Compliance, IP Matter management, and AI tools. This role will require deep collaboration with various leaders and senior individuals across the company to build consensus and an in-depth understanding of key business processes and the applications and technologies that support them.
In addition, strong verbal communication and written documentation skills are a must for this role for promoting ideas throughout the business to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What the Candidate Will Do ----
- **Participate in the Tech strategic planning with respective Business Partners and Lead , development, and implementation of Legal & Public Safety (strategic and tactical) Tech Architecture and End to End Solutions to support business goals**
- Build trusted partnership with business users, solution architects, domain experts and maintain Technology roadmap and own execution of the roadmap.
- Align Business metrics with Engineering metrics, develop and maintain metrics for strategic initiatives, overall platform metrics, QA Automation
- Oversee Infrastructure and Application Architecture, Technical Delivery and build tech roadmap.
- Drive Adoption of Technology, Measure system metrics, Influence Process changes.
- Create and communicate a clear and compelling vision for the team's future.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, encouraging creativity and out of the box thinking.
- Monitor and manage team goals and performance, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and strategies. Conduct quarterly impact check in with team members
- Support hiring processes, driving current and future team performance.
- Leads by example, mentors and coaches both direct reports and skip levels to foster a culture of taking risks and allowing teams to learn from failures.
\-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ----
- Strong understanding of software development processes, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
- Proven track record in leading engineering teams, with a focus on mentoring, coaching, and developing team members
- Minimum 7 yrs experience in Legal Technology Stack
- Extensive experience with Matter Management, Litigation Tracking, eBilling, eDiscovery, Ethic Points, IP & OFAC and CLM Applications
- 5+ year of experience in leadership role managing IC, coaching and mentoring teams
- Engineering design expertise in software, systems and infrastructure.
- Expert planner, organizer, and manager of tasks, resources, and relationships to accomplish work accurately and on time.
- Excellent architecture experience implementing best-fit technologies
- Excellent with Business collaboration , Stakeholder management, Cross -functional engagement
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
\-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ----
- Experience with Salesforce, particularly in managing and optimizing community portals and case management solutions.
- Ability to design and implement Salesforce solutions that meet the specific needs of law enforcement, healthcare, and legal operations.
- Demonstrates a track record of writing high-quality code, emphasizing reliability, readability, efficiency, and testability.
- Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within the team and across departments.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive working relationships and effective stakeholder communication.
- Excellent cross-functional senior-level stakeholder management experience
- Possesses a genuine passion for technology, staying abreast of industry trends, and actively engaging in industry research.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data security and compliance controls
- Enjoys solving complex business problems through innovative and technology-driven solutions.
- Salesforce Certifications in architecture, development and / or other Legal tech Certification is plus

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
