**SUMMARY** :
Maintain and develop proper accounting policies, practices and procedures, related accounting and financial
reporting systems, and internal controls throughout AAR CORP. and its subsidiaries. Manage and control all internal and
external financial reporting activities. Direct and personally complete a wide range of financial analyses in support of
current business plans and prospective financial planning objectives
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Direct, manage and control day-to-day corporate accounting tasks and activities required to create credible and informative financial and operational reports.
+ Ensure that worldwide accounting and financial reporting consistently complies with generally accepted accounting principles, AAR practices, regulatory requirements and professional standards, at both the corporate and the operating unit level.
+ Direct and coordinate the preparation of AARs annual budgets and financial forecasts. Maintain and continuously improve the related reporting and analytical systems so as to isolate the causes/sources of significant variances.
+ Oversee and coordinate the compilation and presentation of various regulatory filings, including the Forms 10-K, 10-Q, S-3, S-8 and other similar documents. Manage and coordinate the preparation and compilation of the company's annual report.
+ Work directly with financial and operations managers among the company's business units to identify opportunities and alternatives for driving financial performance improvement.
+ Provide expert financial and accounting advice to operations management with regard to the structuring of complex sales, leasing and partnership arrangements.
+ Coordinate advance preparations and ensure that the work of external auditors is able to proceed freely and expeditiously.
+ Provide technical interpretation of new accounting pronouncements/standards and formulate strategies for implementation.
+ Assume a leadership role, perform and/or coordinate key aspects of financial and operational due diligence tasks and analyses as may be appropriate to satisfactorily investigate prospective acquisitions.
+ Participate in and/or direct projects designed to enhance the cost-effective management and control of major company assets, including inventory and accounts receivable.
+ Provide direction for the operations and staff of the corporate A/P and Payroll functions.
+ Meet at least annually with each operating unit controller to communicate and prepare a written individual performance evaluation for review by the operating head of the unit and AARs CFO.
+ Chair the administrative committees of the company's retirement plans. Assist with drafting scripts, press releases and similar documents for external communication purposes.
+ All other duties as assigned

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with AARs policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing
work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or twelve years proven related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
