Under general direction, this position is a mid-level, blended project and people-management position. The incumbent will manage staff and provide overall leadership of construction projects and contracted services, from initial planning to completion. The incumbent will be the liaison between architects, contractors, government officials, vendors, and internal stakeholders for a successful project and/or contract execution. The incumbent will determine project and/or contract details, foresee and resolve issues, and ensure the project and/or contract remains within the parameters. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance.Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain construction projects schedules, budgets, deliverables, and status reports to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications
Maintain the company's safety culture by promoting a safe work environment in compliance with federal and state regulations
Perform personnel tasks including staffing, performance management, annual reviews, onboarding new team members, and time and attendance; assess bids and provide guidance on construction team selections
Ensure goals are met and assist with establishing operational procedures
Manage records and maintain reporting; present information on a regular cadence to maintenance leadership
Assist management with forecasting future department needs and opportunities
Interact with internal and/or external customers or vendors to determine project requirements to ensure that all project goals are being addressed; act as the primary point of contact to resolve issues with third-parties (architects, contractors, civil engineers, etc.)
Utilize computer systems and programs to manage the planning, execution, control and closure of individual maintenance projects for the organization
Provide contract administration for projects in carpentry, painting, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and other work related to the renovation, maintenance, and repair of campus buildings and facilities not performed by campus staff
Recommend changes and/or modifications of existing facility equipment and inspect new equipment installations; coordinate planning and implementing of interior modifications of buildings; order and maintain all office furniture including workstations, files, desks, and modular furniture grid partitions

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 2-3 years of related experience
Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record as per J.B. Hunt standards
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Construction Project Management
Experience with state and federal environment regulations
Experience managing and adhering to a project or contract budget
Class A CDL
Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively
Ability to document information and make quick decisions
Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 50 pounds)
Ability to manage a team
Ability to run queries, utilize SQL, and perform basic analytics
Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)
Ability to work both individually and as a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with minimal direction

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
