What You Will Do 

Lead a platform-engineering team to enhance and develop the Data Engineering platform. Oversee and improve core team processes, including development workflows, planning, on-call rotations, bug triage, and metrics reviews. Empower the team to deliver high-impact outcomes by establishing and refining efficient execution and operational processes. Mentor and coach junior team members to support their professional growth and career progression. Ensure the successful execution of projects and team goals while fostering individual development. Monitor progress toward long-term objectives and adapt plans as needed. Collaborate closely with the senior team members to establish and execute the platform’s long-term vision Work on improving the overall satisfaction and usability of the data engineering platform (Optional) Contribute directly to development tasks within the team’s domain. 

What You Will Bring 

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Professional Experience: 5+ years of software delivery experience in a SaaS/web development environment, focusing on data. 2+ years managing high-performing teams (experience in Data Engineering is a strong plus). Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services (AWS knowledge preferred). Familiarity with the data engineering ecosystem, including data pipeline design. Proficiency in Python and basic SQL skills. Experience with cloud-based Source Code Management, CI/CD systems (GitHub experience strongly preferred). Development Practices: Proficiency in agile development methodologies. Jira knowledge is a plus Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and business stakeholders. 

Nice to have 

Experience with the Snowflake ecosystem. Hands-on experience with Azure, GCP, or AWS. Familiarity with complex DBT data pipelines. Knowledge of AWS MWAA (Apache Airflow). Experience working on projects involving sensitive customer data (e.g., PII, PHI). 

What Success Looks Like 


As an Engineering Manager within the Data Engineering group: 

You will oversee the day-to-day operations of team building and support for the data engineering platform. Actively work with other Data Engineering leaders to prioritize platform features enabling other teams to deliver value. Serve as a servant leader, driving meaningful cross-team initiatives crucial to the organization’s growth. Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, ensuring the team delivers exceptional results and continues to expand the company's market-leading product suite. Partner with Product Owners and Business Stakeholders, contributing to all aspects of the software development lifecycle in an agile environment, including technical design, coding, testing, automation, deployment, and performance optimization. Improve the Platform satisfaction survey
