Job Description for Senior Proposal/Bid Manager
Location: Trivandrum, Kochi, Bangalore,Chennai
Experience Required: 10 to 15 years
Role Proficiency:
You will independently manage and oversee the entire lifecycle of business proposals, working closely with Client Partners, Delivery Leaders, and Services to handle large and complex deals. These deals require intricate response management and the development of innovative, technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Proposal Management: Organize, plan, and track the bid process from start to finish. Collaborate with sales, account services, and cross-functional teams to create compelling proposal responses for RFPs (Request for Proposals), particularly when there are no pre-existing solutions, and complex, multi-technology solutions are required. Understanding Customer Needs: Gain a deep understanding of customer requirements and business challenges. Lead discussions to build a proposal that aligns with the customer’s objectives and positions the organization as the best solution provider. Solution Narrative Development: Collaborate with teams to define the key components of the overall solution narrative. Ensure the pursuit team has clarity and enough information to produce a compelling and differentiated response. Organize Pursuit Discussions: Lead and coordinate discussions (war rooms) with support functions such as HR, Legal, Finance, etc., to ensure that the proposal is completed on time and with the highest quality. Stakeholder Management: Work closely and confidently with senior stakeholders within the organization to align on strategy and messaging for the proposal. Status Updates and Issue Management: Provide regular status updates to sales leadership, identifying any issues or challenges, and escalate as needed to ensure timely resolution. Proposal Submission and Finalization: Oversee the final formatting and packaging of the proposal documents for submission, ensuring they are polished, professional, and aligned with the client’s requirements.Candidate Expectations:
You will be responsible for managing large, strategic deals end-to-end, driving solution definition, and creating winning strategies. The candidate must demonstrate a strong ability to create a compelling proposal response that highlights differentiators, a clear value proposition, and strategic business alignment. Strong communication and leadership skills are crucial for managing cross-functional teams and engaging with senior-level stakeholders. A thorough understanding of the proposal process, along with excellent business writing skills, is essential for success in this role.Must-Have Skills:
