The Manager in Development (MID) role is a short-term transitional position designed to prepare individuals for management through work assignments and comprehensive training. MIDs rotate through key departments such as safety, finance, operations, maintenance, human resources, labor relations, and legal. They develop a strong management foundation while working closely with location and corporate staff. Responsibilities include managing safety risks, financial decision-making, operational efficiency, employee management, and labor relations, all while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Minimum Education or Certifications Required

High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor’s degree is a Plus.


Minimum Experience or Skills Required

3-4 years of Transportation/Logistics experience and/or 1-2 years of supervisory experience.Active Learning – Quickly process new information, knowledge, and experiences, regularly capitalizing on learning opportunities, and applying new information.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Attention to detail.Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including morning, night, and weekend shifts.Valid State Driver’s License.Ability to relocate within the specified region.
