JOB SUMMARY
The Manager IS Applications II will be accountable for ensuring the success of an application portfolio that involves a group of related projects, applications, and IS delivery oversight. This role will also be accountable for building and maintaining exceptional relationships with service line leaders, vendors, and other departments to help collectively further BSWH’s strategic initiatives. You will assist respective IS Directors and/or leadership with knowledge of the external IS Application environment and managing the BSWH portfolio thus leading technical and process standards and helping department budget planning and management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Accountable for the day-to-day operational activities of IT that includes Portfolio Management, stakeholder and customer relationships and IS delivery oversight of the managed services vendor.Manages pillar portfolio management (program and project management as dictated by business needs)Drives long term planning and strategic pillar vision creation for pillar improvements and strategies, with oversight from VP as neededEstablishes application portfolio budget and tracks to ensure budget is on track and aligned with strategic goalsKnowledge of interdependencies of healthcare landscape and its influence on portfolioOwns assorted departmental responsibilities as assigned (ie contract management, staffing/resourcing, demand management, budgeting etc)Partners with and runs teams towards the identification of problems/opportunities from a Digital Innovation perspective Oversee or perform the development and documentation of business requirements, goals, deliverables, and specifications in partnership with customers, employees, and help staff.Closely maintains a pulse on digital disruption / innovation in healthcare Provides recommendations for improvements that meet customer goalsPresents and explains findings to leadership team and team membersConducts all human resources related activities, inclusive of interviews, supervision, performance evaluations, development, coaching, feedback, reward and recognition, scheduling, leaves, policy and procedure admin, etc.KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
