Manager IT Business Intelligence

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages and implements the creation of accessible, accurate and reliable data, information, analytics, and data visualization (i.e. dashboards, standard reports, adhoc reports) in support of organizational decision making. Implements standardized data reporting templates and formats, including statistically and graphically appropriate presentations and control chart applications.Oversees and provides guidance on the architecture and design of data models and data marts to support Enterprise reporting that works efficiently on the BI reporting platforms.Prioritize reporting and data requests, efficiently allocate and coordinate business intelligence resources.Assist executive and other leaders on how to interpret report findings and data; including but not limited to the interpretation, analysis, and communication of data by preparing narratives, executive level summaries, presentations, and documentation. Develops education and provides training and consultation on measurement, business intelligence, and analysis of data.Oversees the evaluation, planning, and implementation of key projects related to data, reporting, and decision support systems. Helps guide and define data requirements to support the initiatives, and work with other stakeholder-facing teams to deploy standardized reporting and visualization. Provides technical guidance on best practices for data integration.Manages the business intelligence platforms (Azure, SharePoint, PowerBI, SAS, SQL Analysis Services/Tabular ModelSQL Server, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Integration Services), including, but not limited to the identification, design, data management, education, implementation, and maintenance.Keeps abreast of emerging business intelligence and data warehousing technologies.Enforces sound data governance through secure reporting and sustains strong data stewardship in support of all applicable guidelines and regulations.Oversees the production of the Enterprise-wide standard performance improvement measures and facilitate the development of operational definitions, data collection plans, sampling strategies, and data verification methodologies with management, operational, and clinical experts.Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Level of Education:  Bachelor's degree in business Intelligence or related field

Years of Experience:  5+ ears experience in business intelligence with demonstrated experience in clinical, financial, business operations, and/or statistical analysis Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in project management and managing multi-discipline work teams.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)

Significant aptitude and expertise in business intelligence and database design.Familiarity with data warehousing principles, data modeling and architecture.Experience with SQL Management Studio, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Analysis Services.Experience with statistical software.Demonstrated experience and best practice knowledge with business intelligence software.Proficient with MS-Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Competent ability to create queries in SQL or other query languages/systems.Effective management and leadership skills.Strong communication and networking skills.Demonstrates critical thinking, ability to problem solve, and is results oriented.Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team.Experience with defining business requirements to design BI solutions.Proven project management skills.Self-motivated with an ability to keep an open mind to new ideas.Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision.Excellent presentation and writing skills.Customer service orientation.Demonstrates political sensitivity.Competent application of performance improvement principles.Knowledge of health care trends and industry standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions.Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.Exposed to a normal office environment.
