Outreach Lab Manager – St. Francis Downtown

Job Summary:

The Outreach Lab Manager provides leadership and management of the Laboratory Outreach Program, and all Laboratory Ambulatory Services to include planning, organizing, and directing Laboratory operations and staff. The Outreach Lab Manager provides customer service expertise to improve volume, customer satisfaction and ensures policies and procedures are feasible by making compliance a key priority.

Essential Functions: 

Hires and assist with onboarding top talent to create a work environment of diversity, professional growth, and continuous development Evaluates the competency of all testing personnel and assuring that the staff maintain their competency to perform test procedures and report test results promptly, accurately, and proficientlyEnsures that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is functioning properlyParticipates in committees, task forces, and improvement teams as definedEnsures all changes within the laboratory are sufficiently validated before implementation Other duties as assigned

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Health Administration, or related science field (required) 

Experience:

1 year of hospital, service line, or reference lab experience (required) 5 years of progressive laboratory and/or healthcare experience (preferred, not required)Prior experience with marketing, communication, and/or customer support (preferred, not required)

Skills & Abilities:

Demonstrates leadership competencies and skills for the position, including excellent communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, and decision makingPossesses extensive knowledge of clinical practice or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment
