**Role Summary**
This role is responsible for managing the Learning Management System (LMS) and technical publishing processes for the Airport Operations and Customer Service (AOCS) division at Alaska Airlines (AS) and providing support to Horizon Air (QX). As a people leader, the Manager LMS and Technical Publications leads a team of LMS administrators and technical publications specialists and is responsible for the overall strategy and execution of the AOCS LMS and technical publication process and quality to ensure operational, compliance, and regulatory needs are met.
**Key Duties**
+ Lead a team of LMS administrators and technical publication specialists and establish priorities for quality standards, management, and execution of technical publishing and LMS system processes.
+ Make decisions related to system configuration, structure, reporting, user support, publication, security, and documentation for AOCS training systems, customer service manuals, and policy distribution.
+ Interface with external regulatory agencies on documentation and reporting requirements and manage process for effective information flow.
+ Assess, develop, and maintain business/operational reporting needs and ensure system effectively meets operational needs.
+ Partner with Policy & Procedures and Training departments on training certification needs and develop LMS system strategy accordingly.
+ Provide input on strategy to Policy & Procedures, Training Development, and Training Delivery departments to drive the achievement of division training goals.
+ Execute strategy from research on appropriate system methodologies, tools, and technology for world class training processes and products.
+ Through collaboration, influence across the company to implement and improve efficiency, standards, and compliance.
+ Delegate tasks to team of specialists.
+ Develop people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on delegation for stretch assignments, growing and developing the team for capacity and growth, looking at performance across the team, and time management.

+ Responsible for monitoring and reporting the budget for the department.
**Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills**
**Required**
+ A minimum of 5 years of experience in desktop publishing, integrated learning management systems, or related area.
+ A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
+ Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
+ Ability to present complicated material in a concise and effective way.
+ Initiative-taking with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
+ Proven ability to lead and deliver projects on time and within budget.
+ Detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability to execute multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment where flexibility is key.
+ Ability to interact with business leaders, provide insights and recommendations, and collaborate to solve complex challenges facing the company.
+ Ability to achieve desired results through personal accountability and partnerships with other groups with no direct reporting relationship to position.
+ Outstanding communication (e.g., verbal, written, and listening) and presentation skills, with a demonstrated commitment to clear and transparent communication.
+ Demonstrated record of effectively leading/working with cross-functional teams, driving meaningful changes, and developing and mentoring others.
+ Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
+ Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 10% per year.
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum age of 18.
+ Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
**Preferred**
+ Degree or certification in Instructional Design and/or adult learning.
+ Airline operations experience.
+ Knowledge of Cornerstone (LMS) system.

**Salary Range**
$113,200 - $169,800 / year
**Total Target Compensation Range (incl. bonus & equity)**
124,500 - 186,000
**Salary Details**
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
**Note:** We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
