Reporting directly to Vice President (VP) -Logistics and Interfacing, will be responsible for the delivery of large-scale projects for Galaxy Entertainment Group. Depending on the nature of an assigned project, the overall project scope and the level of involvement and the roles and responsibilities of Logistics and Interfacing Team, Manager’s involvement can cover all aspects and stages, from initial conceptual design through completion and handover to the operational load-in and set-up. Take the lead and coordinate with PD to ensure all business units requirements are incorporated into the design. Produce with guidance presentations for senior management review. Produce weekly dashboards and schedules to reflect current status and progress.
Primary Responsibility- Representing Galaxy Entertainment Groups best interests at all times
- Identifying and agreeing the objectives of each assigned project with the relevant executive steering committees, sub committees and all internal and external stakeholders
- Provide independent, unbiased advice on the management and control of each assigned project
- Identifying the various stakeholders, contributors and delegates required to deliver each assigned project
- Evaluating and assessing the risks to the delivery of each assigned project and advising on preventative, control and mitigation measures as appropriate
- Be aware of the multi-disciplinary roles and responsibilities of each project delivery team
- Be technically knowledgeable of design, construction and, preferably, operational start-ups
- Develop and ensure good working relationships are maintained with internal and external stakeholders, partners and collaborators
- Monitor consultants and sub-contractors to ensure details, specifications and standards are adhered to, programmes and timelines followed and milestones and completion dates are achieved or bettered
- Manage and coordinate, either directly or with a third-party consultant/contractor, the logistics of large scale FF&E and OS&E packages
- Align vendor delivery dates with hand over dates of each assigned project with close coordination with relevant contractors and internal departments i.e. Finance and Procurement
Requirements- Excellent organization and strong management skills with the ability to multi-task and delegate
- Strong team leader and builder with the propensity to motivate and develop people
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English (essential) / Cantonese (preferably, but not a pre-requisite)
- Must have a significant amount of project experience, both office and site based
- While not a pre-requisite, a degree, preferably in project management, property development, hotel management, construction or related field
- Good computer skills and proficiency in MS Office; MS Project and AutoCAD beneficial.
