Manager-Market Insight

JOB PURPOSE

The Market Insight Manager position is charged with providing the brand team with penetrating and actionable insights gleaned through research, data and analyses. As a core member of brand team, the incumbent will support marketing managers, marketing Director by identifying business issues, designing research project, analyzing the results and providing actionable insights. In addition, the manager is responsible, by working with marketing team, in planning, executing and managing the market research budget for each brand.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES 

1. Work as a core member of brand teams to identify business issues, plan, execute and manage market research projects for multiple TAs. Communicate insights with key stakeholders, and identify actions to address specific issues.

--Discuss with cross functional team (MKT, Medical, sales, etc.) helping to identify business issue

--Clarify market research problems

--Summarize ‘facts’ from past research and find information gap to addressed issues

--Work out hypnoses for every questions and their possible implication to business with cross functional team

--Identify and agree research projects to be done and cost

--Create SOW, RFP with brand managers and brief vendors to be invited

--Independently manage market research process

--Communicate with brand team on the research insights

2. Work closely with marketing team to support annual brand plan process mainly in fact book part

--Update and go through brand fact book draft with team leader and revise

--Review fact book with marketing team

--Finalize fact book

3. As core member of AZ market research skill center

--Maintain system set-up of the repository

--Update information after each research projects

--Share research best practices and insights cross brands

--Provide market research and customer insight training to internal clients

--Prepare workshop materials

--Present materials/cases

--Seek feedback from participants and improve the quality

--Brief new MKT staff about syndicated study: Prism, message retention, Rx data

4. Syndicated database management

--Promote dashboard to brand team

--Collect feedback from brand team

--Improve dashboard quality with data provider

REQUIREMENTS

--Bachelor required, Master preferred in marketing, business administration,  statistical analyses, medical, pharmacy

--Mastering of qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies and their applications

--Be able to develop customized research to address business issue together with cross functional team

--Knowledge of pharmaceutical sales/marketing, superior communication and influencing skills

--Min 3+ yrs experience in role with brand management or marketing research responsibilities with min 1 year in pharmaceutical industry

--Demonstrate good skills in communicating with and persuading others

-- Strong communication and presentation skills

--Fluent in English / Chinese
