Job Description Business Title Manager - Manager-Mechanical Utilities Global Job Title Eng Mgr I Eng/CAPEX PM Global Function Industrial Operations Global Department Engineering/CAPEX Project Management Organizational Level   Reporting to Plant Head – Krishnapatnam Size of team reporting in and type 10     Role Purpose Statement Lead  the Mechanical and Utilities activities and overall efficiency of the plant to meet the Business requirements.       Main Accountabilities • Acquires and understands the Project goals from Contract, specific documentation and the kick-off meeting.
• Sets up the procedure for the control of Discipline activities.
• Contributes to define the Discipline list of activities, list of deliverables and time schedule in accordance with Contract requirements.
• Produces a detailed list of in / out critical information to be closely monitored by BGPM for a correct course of the project.
• Projects identified, thoroughly scoped and costed, ROI justification done, and multidisciplinary approvals agreed.
• Project documentation must include process descriptions, operator procedures, asset register, maintenance schedules, P&ID, GA’s, electrical schematics, loop drawings, I/O layouts.
• To identify the projects that need to be contracted & sub contracted and also to identify the contractors.
• Tracking and maintaining adequate records for the projects
• All statutory Liasioning with Govt. bodies like Electrical, Boiler Inspector, CCOE and Inspector of Factories met
• Produces the methodologies / Design Premises comprehensive of all necessary data, general and specific design guidelines.
• Assists the Discipline Coordinator in the Project team of Specialists set up and in verifying the effectiveness of working instruments. Project Execution and Job progress and completion.
• Takes any corrective action within the Specialists group necessary for this purpose or reports to Project Manager for more extensive problems.
• Technical reference for Specialists and Designers and ensure the participation to the interdisciplinary activities. Monitor and reports actual progress / check for Equipment and Packages Discipline activities, including control of men-hours and delivered documents; particular care is required for sub-contracted activities.
• Coordinates the evaluation of the design changes to the original scope of work and verify the implementation of those approved.
• Provides technical support to Project group.
• Provides technical support to Procurement, Subcontracting and Construction activities included in the scope of work
• Ensures follow-up activities.
• Ensures the Equipment engineering support to different projects Tenders and job start-up.
• Acquires and understands the Project goals from Contract, specific documentation and the kick-off meeting. Utility & Maintenance:

• Overall responsible for the utilities; engineering & maintenance of process and setting engineering standards for the entire plant to ensure smooth running of the production  at minimum cost without compromising with the quality of work, at the same time maintaining safety of human resources & machines
• Set short & long term goals w.r.t maintenance & the projects to be undertaken
• Ensure that the spares & other materials are at optimum stock levels and are of required quality & make.
• Plan and put indents and coordinate with Purchase to ensure that the materials are available on time and developing the new vendors for the healthy competition and easy availability.
• Effective operation of Refinery, Steam, Power, Air, Refrigeration, water, Boiler and water treatment plant to ensure that products are produced to the quality and cost requirements of the users and the standards set by the company
• All equipment is calibrated and maintained according to documented work instructions where applicable. Or suppliers recommendations
• Control the cost of maintenance against budget and refine budget to ease justification and control of these costs.
• Coaching and mentoring of the subordinates as required
• All equipment is analyzed for potential failures and appropriate maintenance tasks scheduled to prevent failure.
• Effective & continuous equipment maintenance databank updated.
• Document and maintain all the registers & files for monitoring the departmental performance.
• Equipment safety inspections are done and documented in appropriate registers according to Factories Act and general good working practices
• Ensure the TPM activities happen inside the plant and ensuring the availability of all the Equipment’s all the time.
• Exposure required in Boilers, Water Treatment Plant, cooling towers, RO plant, Ammonia compressors, Pumps, Air compressors, Margarine plant, Pouch Machines, Refinery, gear boxes, Oil yard, Acid Oil Plant, Physical Refinery & CRU area, Air conditioning systems, and DG             Knowledge and Skills    Behavior Use knowledge of Bunge’s business, structure and strategy to develop innovative solutions to improve results or eliminate problems.

Drive results through high standards, focus on key priorities, organization, and preparing others for change.     Technical • Considerable experience of Concept, FEED and Detailed Design engineering
• Experience of Project management & EPCs are beneficial.
• Expertise in mechanical and equipments                                                                                                                                                                   • Expertise in Utilities like boiler, chiller, compressors,ect...         Education & Experience • B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with First Class with 10 + yrs. of experience in project, Manufacturing industries
• Relevant Engineering Degree required
