Overview

Dignity Health Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital is a 104-bed not-for-profit hospital located in Grass Valley California. The hospital has been providing compassionate quality health care to residents and visitors of western Nevada County since 1958. Responsibilities

Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Medical Staff Services Office and for providing the clerical support and documentation for all medical staff committees. Provides advisory support to the hospitals' medical staff by planning and directing the activities of the Medical Staff Offices as well as to serve as a liaison between Administration and the Medical Staff.

Oversees thecredentialing of the hospitals medical staff, maintenance of permanent credentials files and distribution of current credentials information throughout the hospital.

Collaborates with the regional medical staff services team in order to support consistency in processes such as credentialing and privileging of medical staff membership.

Keeps abreast of changing standards and laws affecting the health field and apprises the Administration and Medical Staff regarding the compliance of medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations with accrediting agency and licensing standards.


Qualifications

Required:

Minimum of one (1) year of experience Medical staff Office in a supervisory position, or a comparable combination of education and experienceBachelor's degree in Business Administration or related health or management fieldCertified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) achieved within one (1) year of employment
