Area:
HR Services (HRS) is responsible for the experience of over 20,000 employees across BASF's operations in the Americas throughout their journey within the company, from onboarding to offboarding. The services provided by HRS have a significant impact on the entire value chain, offering support for all aspects of human resources functions. Among its responsibilities, HRS handles talent attraction and acquisition, facilitates employee development initiatives, designs comprehensive compensation and benefits packages, and manages the administrative processes related to human resources. This ensures that employees have a positive experience at every stage of their employment, which in turn contributes to the overall success and efficiency of the organization. By focusing on these critical areas, HRS plays a vital role in fostering a productive and engaged workforce.
Main Objective:
Manage (operationally and administratively) the Americas Mobility Team, ensuring quality and compliant services to the region. Manage (only administratively) the Business Travel team.
Main Tasks:
Leadership & Team Management:
• Guide the team through leadership, including job assignments, target setting, performance evaluations and continuous feedback to ensure people development.
• Ensure efficient task fulfillment through the management and development of team competencies.
• Oversee resource planning, including budgeting, and drive hiring initiatives as needed, maintaining transparency in service costs and allocation.
• Strategize and implement measures to maintain competitiveness and drive service delivery excellence.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
• Initiates and leads internal team projects for the development and optimization of services.
• Guarantee alignment with all legal and compliance requirements.
Operational focus:
• Manage a team of Mobility Analysts supporting international transfers to and from the Americas region.
• Participate in Global Mobility projects and initiatives, working together with Global Mobility teams.
• Work closely with the NA and SA Mobility Heads (in Legal Entities) to support escalations and business interactions where needed.
• First point of escalation for the team members.
• Review assignee remuneration calculations for accuracy and compliance.
• Support the team in finding efficiencies and streamlining processes.
• Manage administratively the Business Travel team.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree on International Relationships, Business Administration or other relevant careers.
• Working Experience: 3-5 years of experience working with Mobility programs. 5+ years of increasingly challenging experience working for multinational companies.
• Language skills: Advanced in Spanish and English. Portuguese valued.
• Technical skills: Advanced in Microsoft Office and intermediate in SAP R/3.
• Soft skills: Advanced in customer support, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills. High organizational awareness and stakeholder management. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proactive decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.
