Responsibilities Regional Resource Nurse to support our 3 Buildings in WA State. The centers are located in Everett, and 2 in Moses Lake, WA. As a Nurse Consultant and Director of Nursing and be an integral part of clinical intervention team. You'll travel to skilled nursing centers within the Division to monitor, evaluate and improve the effectiveness of care delivery processes, nurse education and adherence to Genesis policies and state and federal guidelines. This will include performing systems and process assessments, designing new systems and processes, creating implementation plans, and teaching/mentoring nursing center personnel. You will act as the temporary Director of Nursing when necessary. Some of the additional responsibilities are as follows: Evaluates completion of MDS to ensure state documentation and transmission are efficient and working successfully. Monitors the center-conducted Quality Improvement process and participates in the Pre-Survey process and makes recommendations. Advises center nursing administration to ensure compliance to staffing budgets and regulations. Reviews staffing levels relative to standards of care, and makes appropriate recommendations as needed. Participates in hiring, orientation, training, and on-going support of center nurse management staff. Supports centers during regulatory surveys. Helps design, review and monitor outcomes of plans of correction. Provides routine written documentation of ongoing interventions to Director of Clinical Operations. Qualifications RN required, BSN preferred. Two years of experience in long-term care as a Director of Nursing. Must maintain current RN license in one or more states in good standing.
