Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s).  Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum.  Minimal supervision required.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas. Coursework/Training: JACC Medical Oncology and Physicians Offices: Maintains radiation safety training annually. Maintains conscious sedation education annually. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (for areas listed): Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Education and Research. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Pediatric Emergency Department. Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit. Upon hire: Texas Registered Nurse License. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. 3 years Professional nursing experience. 2 years Clinical experience in specific clinical area.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Master's Degree in Nursing (for areas listed): Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Education and Research. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Pediatric Emergency Department. Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit. Upon hire: ACLS and/or PALS. Upon hire: Specialty certification related to practice. Upon hire: National oncology certification (OCN), Maintains chemotherapy hospital-based certification every 2 years (for JACC Medical Oncology and Physicians Offices). Supervisory/leadership experience.
