Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of the Physical and Occupational Therapy Departments, the Occupational Therapy Manager oversees functions and workflow in the Occupational Therapy Department. Assists in the management of department operations with duties including but not limited to managing productivity (individual/departmental) and staffing standards, timekeeping, mentoring, assists in the completion of Performance Improvement and Utilization Review reports, Performance Appraisal completion at staff level, coaching and corrective actions, and leading Team meetings. Manager will consult and seek advisement from the Physical and Occupational Therapies Department Director as needed and will provide updates on a regular basis to ensure operational consistency. Works with various health care team members including support personnel across multiple locations/units/departments and assists in the supervision and activities of the front office/registration staff as it relates to outpatient services.  Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Director. Provides safe, high quality, comprehensive and patient-centered therapy services including patient evaluation, development and administration of a treatment plan, documentation and communication with physicians and other referral sources, and clinical guidance to non- licensed personnel. The Occupational Therapist may administer topical medications per treatment requirements. 

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy educational program. Minimum Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy.

Minimum Experience Requirement:

Three (3) years licensed clinical experience required (Occupational Therapist II); 5 years’ clinical experience preferred in both acute and outpatient services. Excellent customer service skills required.

Minimum License Requirement:

California licensure as an Occupational Therapist. National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) required. BLS required. Annual 2 hours of stroke education required for those working at QVH.

Pay Range:

$45.75 - $67.26
