The University of Miami Health Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Manager for Central Sterile Processing Services. Under the direction of the Director of Central Sterile Processing Services, the Central Services Manager will assist in the operation of the department by exerting a leadership role in carrying out the Mission, Goals and Objectives of the hospital, focusing on the patient, physician, employees and customers.  The Individual in this role will assist with integrate operations and with other departments to ensure efficiency and coordination.  Along with the department, will develop and implement smooth functioning of all component elements to achieve optimal provision of services to all customers and institutes. This individual will also refine policies and procedures, as necessary. 

Assists the Director of Central Services in recruiting the services of qualified and competent personnel to provide sufficient number and balance of services. 

Ensure the qualifications and competencies of the department staff. 

Assist the Director of Central Services in maintaining appropriate quality control programs, while providing continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of care and/or services. 

Assist with orientation and continuing education of all department personnel. 

Recommends resources as needed by the department, to the Director. 

Promotes and supports the hospital to all potential customers by assuming an active role in the Hospital, as well as within the Community (I.e. events.)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

CRCST or CBSPD certification

CIS or CSIS certification

CHL or CSPM certification

Must hold the 3 levels of certification mentioned above or have Surgical Technologist certification or Central Sterile Processing Certification accompanied by a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Current BLS for Healthcare provider (American Heart Association)

Minimum 5 years of Supervisory experience in Central Sterile Processing Service or Surgical Technology

Minimum 3-years’ experience as Surgical Technologist

Evening Shift 3:00PM-11:30PM
