Overview

The responsibilities of the Manager of Collections is to develop and implement strategies to effectively manage and collect outstanding debts owed to our organization.  Minimize bad debt, DSO, and credit risk. 

 

Our Pharmacy group focuses on providing exceptional customer service and meeting the pharmacy needs for hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, and other specialized care centers nationwide. 

 

An ideal candidate would have strong leadership skills with experience in medical revenue cycle management across multiple sites and process improvement.

This position is a remote opportunity with approximately 5% travel. Applicants can reside anywhere within the Continental USA.

Responsibilities Creates and implements procedures for maximizing debt recovery while maintaining positive customer relationshipsEnsures employees are following company policies and providing excellent customer service; providing guidance, support, and training as neededImplementing measures to improve productivity and success ratesProvides guidance on available discounts and other available payment arrangements in accordance with company policies and legal requirementsPrepares regular reports on collections activities, presenting data and insights to upper managementCollaborates with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and customer service, to resolve complex or escalated customer issuesMake sure the collection department is following company policies and regulationsStay current on industry trends and best practices in collections, implementing new strategies or technologies as needed to improve efficiency and resultsRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsA degree of creativity and latitude is expectedPerforms other tasks as assignedConducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standardsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyThe requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required  Each essential function is required, although reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Qualifications Associate’s degree requiredBachelor’s degree desiredFour years of experience in discipline, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role requiredSix years of experience in discipline desiredStrong knowledge of collections practices, laws, and regulations.  Excellent verbal and written communications.  Proven leadership skills.  Strong problem-solving skills required
