This position also assists in the development & creation of new engaging content ideas around the team and players. Additionally, this position will assist in creating a content strategy based on platform and outlet for team and branded content. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to: + Lead team member to post all content on each team platform including video, graphics, memes, copy and more + Work closely with Director of Content to build out year round strategic content plan based on increased engagement and growth + Build content plans around key team tentpole moments + Manage and curate all photo and related content materials + Manage Graphic Designer day-to-day including the output of graphic content as needed for all team departments + Develop new creative content ideas + Work with marketing, tickets, sponsorship and community departments to create and post content as needed including the monetization of content + Identify emerging social media and content platforms and recommend growth into new platforms as needed + Assist and add to team related community game night / theme night initiatives + Coordinate any social / team initiatives with the WNBA as needed + Monitor and compile all social media analytics to create action items for growth + Manage and monitor advertising spend analytics for efficiencies to maximize spend Minimum Education and Qualifications: + Bachelors’ Degree in communications, liberal arts, or related field + Minimum 4 years working within a sports team marketing and/or social media team + In depth working knowledge of all social media platforms and analytics + Extreme attention to detail and consistency + Excellent written and verbal communications skills + Ability to work independently as well as within a team + Possess strong knowledge and passion of the sports industry, and future trends and opportunities shaping it + Ability to be collaborative and work within a team environment + Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook + In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, 8 years of experience working within the social media field Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position: + Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures + Understanding of league and Mohegan Sun media protocols + Effective utilization of Mohegan Sun Evaluation programs + Thorough understanding of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment Physical Demands and Work Environment: + Must be able to stand for extended periods of time + Must be able to travel overnight and have dependable transportation + Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
