Manager of Data Product - Remote
**Manager of Data Product- Remote** **Full Time Perm** **Salary:** $125,800 - $188,600, plus annual bonus **Way of Work:** Remote The Enterprise Data Strategy department owns the data strategy and build out of the enterprise data lake house. The Data Product Manager leads a team that is responsible for ensuring that the NiSource central Data Lakehouse is designed and developed as one source of the truth that will support current and future analytics uses cases. The manager works closely with IT and with data & analytics teams to ensure that data is collected, transformed, and curated in adherence to design, development and data governance standards and policies. The ideal candidate has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of data architecture and database concepts in the Azure Cloud platform. The Data Product Manager provides strong and inclusive leadership in a manner that engages employees, establishes a culture of trust and accountability, and creates a strong pipeline of talent.       Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: + Develops, publishes, and monitors adherence to design standards for the NiSource enterprise data lake and legacy on premise data warehouse repositories. + Develops a roadmap to support the collection, transformation, and curation of data that is required to support planned and emerging analytics needs. + In partnership with IT and Business subject matter experts, advises mapping specifications for the IT team to follow in the development of the data lake. + Ensures that lineage is documented in the enterprise business glossary. + Serves as a product owner for the IT Data Lake development team to develop a backlog and prioritize requirements. + Contributes to the overall strategy of their organization.   + Partners with IT to develop strategies for and ensure the health of tools, platforms and processes that enable access to data for the purposes of analytics (e.g. vendor/license management, technology roadmaps, steady state support, administration).     + Hires, trains & evaluates a team of 2-3 data and analytics professionals.     + Works with staff to developperformance and professional development plans and measures performance based on established criteria for the team.   + Recommends solutions to stay abreast of current business and market trends and best practices and data and analytics.   You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience + 7+ years of experience in a data analytics capacity + 3+ years of experience utilizing SQL, data modeling principles (including star schema design), and data architecture + 2+ years of experience leading teams **Preferred Qualifications** + Hands on experience developing a data warehouse or data lake in an Azure Cloud environment. + Hands on experience with data modeling tools. + Experience with a regulated utility. + Diverse background that brings experience of having worked across multiple data domains    **Disclaimer** The preceding description is not designed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities required of the position.
