What You Will Be Doing:
Responsible for the development and implementation of employee relations and performance management policies and practices. Investigate problems or complaints in the workplace. Develop and administer Shelter's performance management process.
What We're Looking For:
Knowledge of interviewing and investigative techniques, personnel policy and procedures, and knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices.Ability to manage time effectively in a fast paced environment, and work well within a team environment and across departments.Excellent leadership skills, initiative, creativity and ability to effectively manage sensitive information.Must be able to prepare comprehensive reports and represent ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.Typically requires a college degree from accredited college or university with major course work in Business, Psychology, Human Resources Management or closely related field. Master's degree highly desirable.Equivalent work experience may be used to supplement degree requirements.PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CPCU, CLU or relevant professional designations and certifications desirable.
