We are offering a unique opportunity for a Manager of Health Information Management in Redwood City, California. The Manager of Health Information Management will oversee a team and ensure that several HIM facilities operate smoothly. The Manager of Health Information Management involves a variety of tasks, including monitoring KPI metric goals, managing financial risks, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the operation of four HIM facilities and manage a team of employees.
• Monitor and manage KPI metric goals, including document imaging, ROI audit goals, and medical record delinquency rates.
• Manage potential financial risks related to HIM operations.
• Ensure the efficient workflow from document imaging to coding and billing.
• Maintain and analyze internal department reports for HIM operation data.
• Ensure staff productivity and TEAM correction meet the set standards.
• Handle oversight of offshore operations.
• Manage and monitor customer credit applications and records.
• Support workstation and provide necessary training.
• Utilize skills in Audit, Billing, Revenue Accounting, Facility, Coding, Metrics, and other relevant areas to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.
Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Audit operations
• Proven experience with Workstation Support
• Familiarity with Billing procedures
• Knowledge of Revenue Accounting practices
• Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks
• Experience in managing a Facility
• Proficiency in medical Coding
• Ability to construct Charts and Graphs for data visualization
• Experience in KPI Reporting
• Familiarity with handling Medical Records
• Proven experience in Oversight roles
• Ability to develop and track Metrics
• Knowledge of Delinquencies procedures
• Experience working with Offshore teams
• Skills in equipment Replacement procedures
• Knowledge of ROI Models is a plus
• Experience in managing Financial Risk
• Ability to compile Department Reports
• Experience with Document Imaging System
• Ability to measure and improve Staff Productivity
• Familiarity with TRICARE procedures
• Knowledge of NIS systems
• Experience in QA Management
