As the Manager of Portfolio Management, you will play a pivotal role in driving business volume and market share growth. You will lead the Portfolio Management team, which is essential for maintaining our competitive edge. Your responsibilities will include market analysis, developing go-to-market strategies, optimizing product lifecycle management, generating demand, and ensuring alignment with global business objectives. These efforts will support the products of the Process Automation Business Unit, ensuring we accelerate growth and capture market share.
This role leads a diverse team of approximately 11 Product Managers and Marketing Specialists and reports to the Director of Portfolio Sales Development within the Process Automation Business Unit (Siemens Digital Industries) in the United States.
We are looking for a Manager of Portfolio Management. This role will be based in Harleysville, PA.
As the Manager of Portfolio Management, you will make an impact by:
Managing the Process Automation Portfolio, overseeing local product launches, sales training, demo equipment, and local product requirements. Your role includes managing change, introducing standard processes, and coaching your team for success.
You'll make an impact by:
Reviewing and optimizing product management and marketing tasks to drive growth. Creating product business plans that identify US market opportunities and strategies to mitigate risks. Collaborating with the Process Automation Business Unit and Digital Industries to maintain portfolio visibility. Developing and offering training for Siemens Sales, Sales support, and external partners. Gathering market requirements, competition, and pricing insights. Advocating for US regional needs in global product development. Serving as the primary product owner, collaborating with HQ to address and resolve US customer or product issues. Managing the regional product roadmap and escalating product issues. Addressing product issues including safety or recall topics. Managing pricing and discounting to ensure margin targets are met. Supporting operational product setup, and related IT topics as the product expert. Supporting and overseeing demand-generation activities in line with strategic initiatives. Monitoring demand-generation performance to measure impact and ROI. Leveraging performance data to make informed decisions on future marketing investments.You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required, typically in Engineering or technology field. 10+ years of relevant leadership experience in product management, marketing, and/or portfolio development in a large corporate setting. Knowledge of core Process Automation technologies and key customer markets. Proven success in driving portfolio topics in industrial settings. Experience in managing teams and leading change. Skilled in developing and optimizing internal processes. Strong delegation and market trend analysis skills. Ability to influence and achieve results in a global matrixed organization. High degree of professionalism and integrity. Traveling up to 15-20% of the timeYou’ll benefit from:
