Manager of Proposals
Looking for an experienced Proposal Manager or Director of Proposals to lead a team of contract and proposal Professionals, and establish a culture of of success and winning. Ideal candidate will be able to provide a winning track record of proposals with DoD, Military, Dos, or DHS and other Government Agencies.
Work Authorization: This Position requires the Ability to obtain a DoD US Govt. High Level Public Trust Security Clearance (Due to the Rules and Regulations and Requirements from the US Govt and our Client – Candidates must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship or US Govt Permanent Resident – If Candidates already have an Active Public Trust or Secret Clearance then great!)
What You’ll DoManage proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and serve as the main customer point of contact on all company contract related matters.Work closely with company leadership by advising contractual rights/obligations (to include intellectual property considerations) and how they align to business objectives.Ensure compliance with company policies, acquisition regulations, and customer requirements/ specifications for various types of Government contracts in both a Prime and Subcontractor role.Ensures that Contracts databases are updated and maintained in an accurate and timely manner, including the maintenance and retention of documentation covering the complete contractual record and evidence or review and approvals obtained in accordance with the Company’s prescribed approval matrix.Manage all activities related to the planning, scheduling, and development of customer proposals.Work closely with internal teams within in a matrix environment of program management, engineering, finance, operations, supply chain, and quality functional leads.
Required Skills/Qualifications7-10+ years of experience leading or managing contracts and proposal related matters.Four-year college degree, preferably in an applicable technical or business-related discipline.Experience with U.S. Government Department of Defense contract administration and management to include the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/ or the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).Demonstrated ability to lead and manage contractual matters for various types of contracts involving commercial off-the-shelf product deliveries, technical service/support agreements, research and development programs, etc., for US government and non-government customers to include subcontracts with suppliers/teammates.Thorough knowledge of contract formation strategies, contract administration/management, and proven ability to effectively negotiate terms, conditions, and price.Ability to provide workable solutions to address a wide variety of contractual challenges.Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
