Position Purpose:
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Manager Surgical Services Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the surgical services department, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of patient care in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner. This position involves managing the surgical team, optimizing workflow, coordinating with medical staff, ensuring quality control, and maintaining operational standards to meet the needs of patients, surgeons, and healthcare professionals.
What you will do:
Coordinates operations of surgical services staff in alignment with organizational and department mission, vision, core values and objectives.Serves as a key member of the leadership team with a primary focus on planning and implementation of policies and systems. Facilitates project management while leading a multidisciplinary team including financial analysis, problem solving, and team collaboration.Manage staff scheduling, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for surgeries, including coordinating with anesthesia, nursing, and support staff.Lead, train, and develop the surgical scheduler services team.Manages new colleague onboarding.Develop and maintain educational programs and continuing education opportunities for staff to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, healthcare or business-related degree preferred.Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare system required.Experience in operating room/surgical services is strongly preferred.Strong background in finance, data analytics and reporting; capital process and equipment acquisition; scheduling operations and construction planning.Position Highlights and Benefits:
