Position Purpose: 

Our Vetco Total Care Hospitals are growing quickly and need a strong leader to lead the charge!  

 

This position will be responsible for leading a team of talent acquisition professionals in identifying top talent for our hospitals across the country.  If you are passionate about developing teams and delivering high-impact results that exceed both client and candidate expectations, Petco is the right place for to you call ‘home’ and bring your plans to life. 

As the Manager, Talent Acquisition – Hospital East you will create the overall talent acquisition strategy to enable the business to serve our pets and parent parents. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent must be able to perform all the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation: 

Develops strategic direction and management of business aligned recruiting resources.  Analyzes daily team activity, quality, and performance to ensure contracting goals for the organization are met or exceeded.   Develop innovative staffing tools and techniques to meet and exceed candidate requirements such as niche job postings sites, resume databases, networking and social sites. Partner closely with our Educational and Events Outreach team to influence overall strategy that drives top of the funnel candidate flow and aligns with business objectives. Deliver quantitative and qualitative measures to communicate Vetco Total Care Hospital talent acquisition effectiveness based on quality, cost, efficiency, and customer feedback. Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with Director of Talent Acquisition, Talent Acquisition leaders, HR colleagues, Hiring Managers and company leaders to design and execute cohesive talent acquisition strategies.    Ensure consistent and proactive communication strategies to enable the paraprofessional talent acquisition team to inform client managers and HR Provides guidance through partnerships with senior level leadership to identify and evaluate hospital staffing needs, collaborate, and influence desirable outcomes. Provides feedback to leadership and partners on industry trends and changes within the labor market. Work with talent acquisition leadership, communications, and marketing teams to execute strategies around recruitment advertising, job boards, research firms, internal sourcing and recruitment programs and compliance initiatives.

Minimum Requirements: 

A Bachelor’s degree and/or Human Resources certificate or PHR/SPHR and/or AIRS certification is strongly preferred.7-10 years’ recruiting experience, veterinary/human healthcare industry experience a plus A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with business leaders as a strategic partner through functional knowledge, business acumen and influencing skills will be required. Proven ability to develop talent pipelines, create and execute on effective business and action plans as well as demonstrated negotiation and project management skills strongly preferred. Project management experience preferred.
