Responsibilities:The Manager of Behavioral Health Therapeutic Services is responsible for the oversight and management of therapeutic and mental health care within the inpatient behavioral health setting. The manager works to support evidence-based treatments and provides guidance to CBHC mental health professionals to provide the most appropriate treatment as indicated. Responsible for the overall direction, supervision and evaluation of utilization management, therapeutic interventions, case management and discharge planning functions performed by personnel at Community Behavioral Health Center. Accountabilities 1. Designs and implements the Behavioral Health therapeutic program within the behavioral health care units.2. Oversees and monitors all billing and claims submitted through the Utilization Management process.3. Provides leadership to therapists through clinical supervision, reviews, consultation, training and support to ensure best practice implementation.4. Manages staff and team performance, productivity and workload. Identifies and addresses areas for improvement, including making adjustments to caseloads and work assignment to maximize quality of care and staff productivity.5. Provides clinical consultation to physicians and CBHC staff on Case Management issues.6. Responsible for ensuring appropriate referrals to clinically indicated services are coordinated outside of the hospital setting through ongoing coordination with Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health and other local agencies7. Actively participates and supports the Director in the development of department budgets and monitors performance according to rolling forecast budget expectations.8. Conducts and organizes facility staff trainings and in-services as part of the clinical care team and in accordance with best practices in therapeutic patient care.9. Maintains current knowledge of Behavioral Health regulatory compliance, documentation and reporting and stays abreast of emerging trends and best practices.10. Directly responsible (with support from Human Resources) for employee engagement and people management processes, including: interviewing and selection, time and attendance approval, providing timely feedback and performance evaluations, employee development, employee retention, disciplinary actions and terminations.11. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Education• Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage Family Therapy or related field required or• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Behavioral Health, Social Welfare or related field required Experience• Experience in psychological testing, diagnosis, crisis intervention and/or psychotherapy required• Previous management experience preferred Licenses and Certifications• One of the following is requiredo LCSW - State of California Licensed Clinical Social Workero LMFT - State of California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapisto PSY - State of California Clinical Psychologist LicenseDisclaimer:
