Manager of Variable Compensation
Camping World & Good Sam is seeking a collaborative, growth-oriented Manager of Variable Compensation to join our total rewards team. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the design, development, implementation and administration of the variable and incentive compensation programs to support our total rewards strategy and objectives. This position will be located in Lincolnshire, IL or Chicago, IL, 3 days onsite. **Responsibilities:** + Partner with business, accounting and HR Business Partners as the primary lead in planning, developing, communicating and administering all variable and incentive pay plans for sales, service and retail positions + Create and maintain relevant variable pay plan documents and ensure adherence to compensation strategies + Collect and analyze industry compensation data and conduct market analysis; Consult as a subject matter expert to ensure compensation recommendations are aligned and relevant to both the market and internal equity. + Recommend and implement new systems, tools, processes, and procedures to continually improve the administration of variable and incentive compensation; partner with HR Operations and IT to manage compensation structure, business processes and job profile data in HCM system + Promote an understanding of compensation philosophy, practices, and administration across all levels of the organization. Create compensation materials and training to illustrate and communicate variable and incentive compensation related information and changes + Evaluate and maintain positions, job classifications, job levels, salary ranges, and FLSA statuses to be compliant and maintain consistency and alignment with our compensation philosophy + Partner with Talent Acquisition team to ensure recruiters have the necessary information and tools to review and extend offers to candidates + Partner with compensation team to develop compensation programs, policies, plans and processes + Support annual merit and bonus cycle processing **Critical Success Factors (or Skills & Abilities):** + Execute projects quickly, with strong attention to detail and follow-through + Strong knowledge of the regulatory landscape on pay practices and laws + Gains trust by creating positive relationships, understanding business objectives, exercising good judgment, and delivering on commitments. + Effectively manages multiple high-priority tasks and works well under heavy deadline pressure in a fast-paced, high growth environment + Learns quickly, independently acquires knowledge on new subjects in a short timeframe, knows when to ask for help + Communicates information in a clear and concise manner, orally and in writing, in a style, tone, and manner appropriate for the audience + Resourceful and energized by new challenges and opportunities + Performs with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Experience working for a publicly-traded company **Education and Experience:** + Bachelor's degree and/or minimum 10 years’ experience in base pay, commissions, short-term and long-term incentives, job evaluations, benchmarking and market analysis; retail or dealership industry experience preferred + Extensive knowledge of compensation practices and theory including experience in compensation program design and project management + Advanced competency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Power Point) and an HRIS system + Experience in sourcing and implementing incentive compensation systems/software **Physical Requirements:** · Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer · Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times · Up to 10% travel required \#LI-Hybrid **Pay Range:** $131,145.00-$196,665.00 Annual In addition to competitive pay, we offer Paid Time Off, 401(k), an Employee Assistance Program, Good Sam Roadside Assistance, discounts, paid parental leave (if eligibility is met), Tuition Reimbursement (if eligibility is met), and on the job training opportunities.
