JR61789 Manager - Office of CIORole Overview: The Manager – Office of CIO at Micron IT will drive and implement global IT initiatives, manage the Center of Excellence (COE), and support the IT strategy. This role requires a combination of performing critical thinking and hands-on tasks to achieve the organization's goals. The manager will coordinate important projects, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure IT initiatives align with business objectives. They will also have people management responsibilities, focusing on team growth and development, as well as project/program management for global initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:Global IT Initiatives: Lead and manage global IT projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall IT strategy.
Center of Excellence (COE): Establish, run, and mature the COE, focusing on standard methodologies and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership: Build and lead an impactful IT team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members in matrix organizations.
Goal-Oriented Planning: Collaborate with the IT leadership to devise and implement plans that support the organization's objectives. Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities. Develop and manage a roadmap for IT initiatives, ensuring they align with business goals and are performed effectively.
Operational Excellence: Coordinate all aspects of the team's day-to-day operations and initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. Implement standard methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational performance.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units, facilitating communication and collaboration. Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements and translate them into actionable IT solutions. Present project updates and strategic plans to senior leadership and other collaborators.
Metrics and Performance Management: Develop and monitor performance indicators and metrics to gauge the success of IT initiatives and projects. Evaluate data to identify patterns, areas for improvement, and optimization possibilities. Deliver reports on IT performance to senior executives and recommend measures for ongoing improvement.
Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, achievements, and prioritization of resources.
IT Strategy: Support the TBMO Org in implementing IT strategies that drive business growth and efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:Center of Excellence: Demonstrated experience in establishing and running a COE.
IT Strategy: Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing IT strategies.
Operational Excellence: Proven ability to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement for enhanced operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Global Collaborator Management: Strong ability to manage and collaborate with collaborators across different regions and cultures.
People Management: Strong people management skills, with a proven track record of leading and developing teams. Demonstrated ability to lead and encourage cross-functional teams.
Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical collaborators.
Project Management: Extensive experience in managing complex IT projects from inception to completion.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exposure to User Experience COE.
Process Management.
Vendor Management.
Operations Management.
