You help implement the operational excellence program in a specific function and/or for cross-functional continuous improvement (CI) projects. You are not only responsible for applying CI tools and techniques for problem solving and performance improvement but more importantly, you help employees improve their CI skills and build their self-sufficiency.

How you will contribute

You will:

Provide training on CI tools and techniques to help drive teams through CI cycles. You will also coach employees to help them achieve their targetsIdentify process improvement needs with department leads, facilitate sessions and support execution of newly established improvementsOnce improvements are done, validate outcome benefits and support creation of new standards and qualification of members into new working processesBenchmark externally, ensuring where relevant that best practice and new tools are deployed in collaboration with internal partners

Experience implementing CI processes (e.g. TPM for manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma in the consumer goods industry)Strong facilitation and communication skillsExperience in change management processesLogical thinking and capacity to influenceResults oriented and prepared to deal with ambiguityExperience such as: continuous improvement manager, team leader roles, area manager

More about this role

Must have deep understanding of the principles and practices of leading sites through the phases of TPM.Practical experience of building phase progression plansOGSM development and leadershipDeveloping a site CBNExperience of Loss analysis and management of loss eradication and productivity roadmap buildingExcellent coaching skillsAbility to build the site master plan with the Plant Leadership teamVery strong data analytical skillsAbility to coach all pillars of TPM through to (minimum) Phase 2 or beyond.Ability to lead teams at all levels of the plant org. to drive progress, performance and results.Will own the management of the Productivity cycle and all CI related activities onsiteMust be a hands on, present leader who is not afraid to roll their sleeves up and spend a lot of time in the plant with the shop floor colleague

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, concentration in Operations ManagementFunctional work experienceHands on oriented, with solid previous experience leading manufacturing operations, in a leadership role (BUM or similar, CIM, etc). TPM required - Minimum 4yrs.Sound Project Management Skills, proven experience successfully leading initiatives (Critical Path Schedule, Risk Management tools, etc).Practical experience with continuous improvement methodologies (basics of TPM, Lean Manufacturing or similar) is a plusOrganizational transformation (change management); High Performance Working Systems as a plus
