**_The Role_**
The Manager, Operational Oversight & Business Controls supports the overall goals of ScotiaHelps (formally Canada Collections) by attesting to adherence to policy, identifying exceptions and waivers where required, and designing, developing and overseeing implementation of procedures to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements. This role supports both retail and small business, including SDA collections.
**_Is this role right for you? In this role you will:_**
+ Lead the internal Policy Attestation and Adherence Program to ensure the Unit is adhering to current Policy.
+ Lead the internal Audit Program to ensure the Unit is prepared for all future audits and OSFI concerns.
+ Proactive Testing of Controls and Policy
+ Support other key accountabilities where required such as:
+ Consumer Protection Framework (CPF)
+ Business Continuity Planning
+ NIRA oversight
+ Privacy incidents
+ All Risk Management initiatives including but not limited to Employee Monitoring and Work from Home requirements/reviews
+ Partner with the business to ensure all processes are documented, reviewed and QA consistently
+ Training oversight to ensure it adheres to policy, regulatory and compliance requirements
+ Logical Access
+ Monitoring Complaints
+ Demonstrate strong team leadership to motivate and sustain individual and team performance.

+ Experience leading teams
+ Proven relationship management skills
+ Undergraduate degree in Finance or Business or 4 years equivalent work experience
+ Thorough understanding of the Collections environment at Scotiabank and the Bank’s organizational structure
+ Thorough knowledge of the Bank’s products, policies and procedures and their relationships within the Bank
+ Excellent communication/interpersonal/negotiating skills
+ Thorough knowledge of audit processes and methodologies
+ Ability to write clear, concise audit responses as well as internal and external communication
+ The incumbent must be familiar with the following:
+ Scotiabank’s Privacy Code
+ Working knowledge of the policies and handbooks of Scotiabank Global Compliance and Global Risk Management, as they relate to ScotiaHelps
+ Scotiabank’s Guidelines for Business Conduct, Internet & Email Code of Conduct
+ The policies, procedures and systems of ScotiaHelps
+ Knowledgeable about the organization of Scotiabank, particularly, risk management, control, administrative and operational structure, policies, and procedures.
