To lead the management of Minerals Americas Outsourced Infrastructure, including Water desalination plant contracts. In addition, this role leads the execution phase of projects under the outsourcing business model. The mandate for this leadership role is to provide strategic services to the Assets safely and at a competitive cost.
The role also is accountable to lead commercial negotiations in the utilities space and relation to strength internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Main accountabilities:
Provides advice to the organisation (operations & staff areas) in water supply for Spence Ensure the technical, commercial & operational administration of the Spence BOOT contract, managing potential risks to ensure the security of water supply to the SGO operation Provides direction, leadership and decision making to ensure the successful execution of the new outsourced projects, in accordance with the approved business objectives Demonstrate and encourage a strong commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development. Lead the compliance with the requirements of corporate and assets governance applicable to the development of the activities of the Management (operations and project execution). Leading the implementation of systems and tools necessary for the effective management of outsourced contracts Provides direction and leading for negotiations with third parties in relation with outsourced projects in execution phase. About You
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline(s), Economics or related discipline. Ideally further study such as an MBA or specialization in general management and project management Typically 15+ years’ experience in the mining, utility (water) and projects industry High degree of business acumen, with deep understanding of capital investment lifecycle and drivers Continuous improvement methodology experience Deep understanding of the operating model - the interaction between Processes, Systems and People.
