Summary
Directs the activities of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists and is responsible for general pharmacy operations. Coordinates quality assurance activities.
Job DutiesDirects pharmacy operational strategies by analyzing trends; preparing critical measurements; implementing production, productivity, quality, patient-service, safety, security, and health strategies; and leading system improvements. Provides required pharmacy materials by creating/updating policies and/or procedures, as well as standards for operations of the pharmacy department Documents pharmacy actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Manages pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, and other pharmacy staff. Assures pharmacy meets all regulatory requirements and is prepared for surveys conducted by any regulatory body. Oversees all orientation, training and scheduling of direct reports
Minimum QualificationsSpecialized Diploma College of pharmacy. 2 years Hospital pharmacy. RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
Preferred QualificationsMaster’s Degree MBA or MHA
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
