Manager Planning Process & Systems

As the Planning Systems & Project Manager, you are the planning systems expert across CoorsTek. You will position will provide MRP execution support throughout the organization and will drive best practices and global standard processes. You will act as the primary project manager for the planning team executing on a variety of inner department and cross functional projects, and will play an integral part in the scoping, designing, and development of planning system architecture. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, Planning Excellence, and will have a functional reporting relationship with the Director of Planning.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Subject Matter Expert in QAD’s Planning modules; able to provide training, direction, and feedback to facility level planning personnel and answer any planning related questions or issues from Planners.Represent planning as SME on the ERP transition to SAP. Will train to become SME on new SAP ERP planning system and act as trainer of future power users.Lead efforts to drive MRP systems and processes improvements and enhancements.Train new Planners in the core areas of Production Planning and Scheduling.Coordinate projects focused on increasing planning and manufacturing productivity and cost improvements (within the scope of capital efficiency and asset utilization to optimize service and cost) by defining and sharing best practices and standardizing ways of working across CoorsTek globally.Work with other functional groups (i.e. Sales, Operations, and Procurement) on driving organizational efficiencies and utilization of systems and tools to improve costs, service, or revenue.Extract, transform, and load large data sets (from Master data, ERP, MRP etc.) analysis and changes supporting planning system updates and refreshes as needed.Monitor and maintain compliance to ERP planning metrics and facilitates efforts to keep the data integrity at optimal level across all CoorsTek plants.Assist with all aspects related to the systematic detailed scheduling, including setups, training, execution, and issue resolution.Assist sites as needed with APRISO (MES) functionality and processes.  Supports fixing of issues that Planners request identify by coordinating with APRISO technical team.Support planning organization performance & measurement against CORE (CoorsTek operations continuous improvement program) objectives focused on improving planning, customer deliveries, & SiOP capabilities.Coordinate with cross functional teams (sales, ops, etc.) to develop or improve tools aimed at improving planning performance (including inventory, SLOB, customer commitment mgmt., etc.).Will lead multiple projects and initiatives measuring KPI’s, operational dashboard and other reporting tools like Power BI, enterprise Cube,etc.As needed, travel to sites to address critical Planning issues that require onsite support.


Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Industrial Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Finance, related field7 or more years of operations planning experienceAPICS or related certifications desired
 

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to lead change and drive results. System skills to organize data.Strong knowledge in detailed scheduling MRP tools like QAD or SAP desired.Solid project management skills to effectively organize priorities and work under deadline to produce high quality results.Solution orientated mindset with a deep-seated desire and drive and optimize how we serve our customers.Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on ExcelEffective communication and the ability to work cross functionally. Inquisitive, creative, proactive, and innovative are key attributes for this role.

Location: Golden, CO (hybrid schedule)Ability to travel internationally/domestically up to 25% of the time

Target Hiring Range

Annual Salary: USD 109,461.00 - USD 150,509.00
