 GENERAL FUNCTION

The Manager of Supply Chain Planning optimizes inventory investment and planning to achieve service level goal. The role is responsible for working capital management of USD +$10 million through maintaining a strong working relationship with buying, sourcing, brand and finance stakeholders.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees product inventory to support brands while maximizing working capital productivity Responsible for delivering Sales and Inventory plans Partner with sourcing and brands to support product strategy Develop sales plans to deliver strategic initiatives Develop receipt plans to support sales and inventory turn plans Deliver sales & receipt plans to support vendor forecast process Manage the purchasing of new product introductions to ensure flow supports sales & marketing initiatives Create/Deliver monthly brand inventory targets to drive sales and support global working capital strategy Improve forecasting accuracy through collaboration planning Maximize in-stock service level to maximize sales & meet consumer’s needs Perform semi-annual inventory obsolescence review Prepare COM (cost of merchandise) forecast and provide to Finance Department for profitability analysis Analyze impact of supplier cost changes and prepares inventory roll forwards to account for sell off and planned purchases Analyze impact of retail price increases and overall department makeup, average dollar sale and gross profit Align with sourcing, engineering and quality to finalize stage gate process for new products and determine purchase order quantities for new product launches Evaluate performance at a style/SKU level and forecasts sales/replenishments based on style cannibalization, stock position and expansion plans Lead/Coordinate cross functional activities with other managers within the organization

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in finance, supply chain management, operations management 5+ years work experience in production or manufacturing planning or supply chain Working knowledge of supply chain Planning and Supply Chain principles Strong analytical and mathematical skills - able to extract conclusions from available data Proficient in SAP, Excel, planning systems, MS office suite of products Finance and accounting principles - able to communicate financial plans and results from a product & merchandise perspective Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in optical manufacturing environment Proficiency in tools like Tableau & Business Objects

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
