Position Summary
This position is responsible for leading the Power Systems Rental Representatives in meeting and exceeding their equipment rental sales revenue and profitability goals. In addition, the Sales Manager provides motivation for, assists with operational issues, and maintains and grows a high performance sales force.Position Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for achieving budgeted top line Rental Revenue and P.A.D.I.T.Works with the PS Rental & Used Equipment Manager to achieve divisional and annual business goals including: setting strategies and executing methods to increase market share and existing business relationships, and coordinating sales activities within the organization.Works with Management to develop new markets, understand market trends and competition, and other matters affecting profitability and business growth in the company.Establish and monitor territories and monthly and yearly revenue and sales goals for Sales Representatives.Provide coaching and assistance to Sales Representatives by reviewing call logs and call reports and giving feedback on a regular basis, managing CRM system.Collaborate with Management to influence procurement of the rental fleet.Responsible for interviewing and hiring of new Sales Representative candidates. Continuously improves, develops, and expands the PS Rental sales function, constantly striving for excellence.Cooperates effectively with Caterpillar, other Dealers, and other suppliers to gain maximum support and assistance while enhancing those critical partnerships.Support other related duties and projects assignedCommunicate with the Power Systems Used Eq. Manager on acquisitions and sales opportunities. Develop and execute a Marketing plan for all Power Systems Rental products and services.Interface with other MacAllister and Michigan Cat departments with a team-based approach, assisting others as needed to achieve sales goals. Work with territory representatives filling needs, driving performance and managing daily position requirements. Develop a world class Rental Sales team that functions synergistically, efficiently, and harmoniously.Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable with overnight travel.Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.Performs related duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities: Ensures compliance with established corporate standards. Oversees day to day operations of the unit. Reviews and evaluates the work and performance of reporting employees. Has significant input regarding hiring and disciplining employeesPosition Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, accounting, finance, or related field. 7+ years’ experience in Rental sales and management.Solid managerial skills in the areas of communication, organization, judgment, decision making, interpersonal skills (empathy, listening, etc.), and analytical ability.Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Must be able to identify objects within two feet or lessUse of far vision acuity. Must be able to identify objects at 20 feet or more.
