Manager Premium Management and Fulfillment

Job Summary

Manage, maintain, and continuously improve daily operations in Premium Management and Fulfillment including member and client support, contract administration, system support, report management, premium invoicing, health benefit documents, and member ID cards. Manage and resolve complex member issues and provide clear status communication to appropriate parties. Monitor and manage performance of team members. Ensure that team/department milestones and goals are met.

Essential FunctionsOversee the daily operations for Premium Management and Fulfillment activities by planning, organizing, and staffing assignments appropriately. Manage premium management and fulfillment activities to ensure tasks are completed timely and accurately. Establish team controls. Implement, manage, and ensure the team meets quality standards.Decision support as requested by senior management or staff regarding workflow and process improvement opportunities. Participate in strategic and budget planning with senior management.Facilitate continuing improvement of processes to maximize system capability and process workflows to support customer requirements.Leads staff to be a highly engaged team focused on innovations, service experience and critical thinking for problem solving.Address issues timely, collaborate with other teams, provide status updates appropriately. Ensure timely communication and responses to customers, both internal and external.Support consumer experience strategy of brilliant at the basics in terms of time, cost, quality, and experience.Responsible for interviewing and hiring personnel; developing a high performing team; and managing performance of all team members, taking corrective action as needed.Develop and maintain adequate business acumen, both specific to the organization and to the industry. Provide timely and adequate reporting to management.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in Business Administration or related field3 years of relevant experience in a leadership role2 years of relevant experience in group administration and/or premium billing and/or fulfillment or operations in healthcare insurance environmentExperience working with Vendor ManagementExperience working with Facets and/or EpicAble to come on site up to 3 days per week to our Grand Rapids location
