The **Abbott Medical Device Division** is looking for a talented and motivated **_Manager of Strategic Pricing & Contracting_** to help shape and support the Company's growing Medical Device organization. The role reports to the _Director, Strategic Pricing & Contracting_ , _Enterprise Accounts_ and will help execute pricing and contracting strategies for Med Device products in the U.S. We are seeking a team leader who is an expert in translating complex structures into sound contracts that strengthen customer relationships. This position will collaborate with the BU’s Pricing Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Rebates, Legal and Compliance teams; and contribute to the management of the Contract Lifecycle Management System (CLM). + **Deal Development and Accuracy** + Advise field leadership on contract and RFP offers, ensuring deal structures are supported by internal stakeholders, processes, and systems. + Coordinate Price Council requests and approvals on behalf of the Business Unit. + Facilitate the implementation of business unit strategies, including target price increases. + Oversee the calculations and financial impact of proposed pricing actions; and verify that all appropriate checks and approvals are completed. + Lead and support contract negotiations with customers as necessary. + Consult with Legal and/or other departments as needed to address customer requests or deviations from approved contract language and policies. + **Contract Performance** + Prepare and present contract performance to leadership on a monthly basis, contributing to planning and forecasting efforts. + Recommend enhancements to the Contracting & Pricing Contracting Reference Guidebook. + Identify opportunities to enhance the Contract Lifecycle Management System’s capabilities and processes. + **People Development** + Recruit, develop, coach, and guide a team of analysts to support the requirements and needs of the Business Unit and Enterprise Accounts. + Recommend and execute team goals, objectives, and strategies across the Contracting & Pricing Organization. **REQUIREMENTS** + Bachelor’s Degree Required; Masters degree preferred in Finance, Business, Economics + 7+ years of pricing and contracting experience (5+ in a people management role) in pharma, biotech, med tech, or related healthcare industry with Masters Degree; + 10+ years of pricing and contracting experience with Bachelors degree; + Legal document drafting experience in a dynamic environment + Experience in CLM, M/S Office and reporting/analytics tools (Tableau, PowerBI, PowerApps, Business Objects) + Ability to prioritize competing interests and projects + Hands-on role in the analysis and validation of deals + Knowledge and understanding of the laws and regulations that affect the reimbursement and coverage of med tech devices in the U.S. + Travel up to 10% of the time **JOB FAMILY:** Sales Support & Administration **DIVISION:** MD Medical Devices **LOCATION:** United States > Austin, TX: 8701 Bee Caves Rd **ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS:** **WORK SHIFT:** Standard **TRAVEL:** Yes, 10 % of the Time **MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE:** Not Applicable **SIGNIFICANT WORK ACTIVITIES:** Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day), Continuous standing for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day), Continuous walking for prolonged periods (more than 2 hours at a time in an 8 hour day) Abbott is an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities/Women/Individuals with Disabilities/Protected Veterans.
