Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for a **Manager Process Improvement 1** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This leadership role is located in **Edwards AFB, CA** .
As a manager of the Continuous Process Improvement team, you will evaluate department procedures, identify current issues, and define and provide the support required to develop, implement, and transition new technology and process solutions to work base centers to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve quality.
You must possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communications skills, and effective problem-solving capabilities. You will be required to develop mechanisms for monitoring performance metrics and for intervention and problem solving with various support groups. You must also be knowledgeable of various program life cycles, continuous improvement strategies and compliance requirements.
You will also need to demonstrate effective communication with various levels of leadership and have the ability to present to executives and various functional organizations as required.
**Key responsibilities include:**
+ Analyze current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and develop innovative solutions to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve quality and productivity.
+ Collect and analyze data to assess performance metrics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate reports that inform decision-making and highlight areas for improvement.
+ Design, implement, and monitor continuous improvement plans that align with organizational goals, incorporating industry best practices, Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints or other improvement methodologies.
+ Work closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment and buy-in on process improvement initiatives.
+ Provide training and guidance to team members on new processes and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
+ Developing mechanisms for monitoring production goal progress as well intervening and problem solving with production leadership and support functions as required.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree with 3 years' experience or High School Diploma with 7 years’ experience supporting aviation analysis or continuous process improvement.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess processes, identify inefficiencies, and suggest actionable improvements.
+ Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
+ An excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, database software, and related development tools required.
+ Ability to lead and manage process improvement projects with a focus on timelines, deliverables, and resource management.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting findings to stakeholders.
+ Experience with change-management principles and practices, especially related to implementing new processes or systems within an organization.
+ Active DoD clearance.
+ Ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
+ Certified Continuous Improvement Professional (CCIP).
+ Demonstrated ability to balance and influence multiple competing priorities and interests.
+ Robust problem solving and analytical skills.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of company and sector operations, policies, procedures.
**Salary Range:** $107,300 - $160,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
