Job Summary Job Responsibilities Enhance existing products and/or develop new products for an assigned product(s) area Use industry knowledge and experience to develop products that correlate with current customer and prospect customer needs Analyze market data including product specific sales, overall sales volume, and competitive product releases and pricing strategies for assigned product area and recommend marketing objectives and strategies Participate with cost accounting, marketing management, and other functional areas in the development of pricing and cost recommendations Participate in the development of sales forecasts for use in production planning, manufacturing operations and for controlling inventories Participate in trade shows and industry events, customer and prospective customer presentations and visits, product demonstrations and other similar events by presenting assigned product line(s) Respond to product-related informational requests from internal and external departments/personnel and serve as the primary contact for customer service issues pertaining to the product line May serve as the primary interface for customers on business and technical issues Keep current on technology and trends of product related knowledge May be responsible for maintaining and monitoring product performance metrics to include revenue, P&L, and operational/marketing Key Process Indicators (KPIs) Develop and possibly oversee the generation of marketing reports as they pertain to the product line(s) May be responsible for managing others in this role Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization May support business plans, acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures Assist management with special projects and assignments as requested Responsible for product portfolio performance including bookings, revenue, P&L, cashflow, and operational/marketing Ket Process Indicators (KPIs).Work closely and collaborates with other key departments within the company to ensure customer commitments are supported Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least five years of related experience, and a minimum of 3 years of experience with direct product management responsibility Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD clearance as needed, which requires US citizenship Demonstrated business and technical acumen Demonstrated ability to develop market strategies Thorough understanding of product development and engineering processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills Understanding of Marketing Communications and Product Marketing Strong customer relationship skills Strong computer and organizational skills Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
