Position Overview:

The Manager of the Order Management Department leads a team of employees in Operative Procurement, Material Resource Planning, Production Control, Accounts Payable and Transportation to support manufacturing of passenger coaches to meet project requirements for on time material delivery. This position requires a strong leader with the drive to succeed in a complex, multi-project, engineer-to-order environment supporting multiple functional areas.  In addition, it also requires also abilities in the definition and optimizations of Order Management processes.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Material Management: Ensure timely material availability across all projects by managing purchase orders, analyzing MRP and schedules to prevent shortages, and adjusting supply based on demand forecasts. Manage excess and obsolete inventory, and support inventory audits of WIP. Reporting and Communication: Maintain and report on material status and related information. Establish communication standards with suppliers, resolve delivery issues, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders. Resolve invoicing and receiving problems. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with Strategic Purchasing, Enterprise Scheduling, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Project Management teams to manage project material requirements and resolve issues. Coordinate transportation of finished vehicles and support projects with ad-hoc reports and special projects. Department Goals and Performance: Set and achieve clear department goals and KPIs. Conduct employee performance reviews, develop and implement training plans for new hires, and improve internal process compliance through data analysis.

To thrive in this role, you have:

BA or BS degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Logistics 5 years experience in Order Management. Working proficiency in SAP (especially MM and PP). Solid knowledge in engineered products manufacturing and delivery, preferably in the mobility industry Very good communication and negotiation skills. Leadership skills and experience (>10 employees). Verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to high quality work. Self-motivated and the ability to work aggressively to complete work on time. Able to collaborate and work effectively with others, as well as independently. Ability to make sound business decisions when faced with a degree of ambiguity and complexity.

Other language skills are advantageous but not obligatory. Experience in manufacturing. Experience in change management and organizational development. Experience in supplier management and development. Intercultural exposition.

Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.  Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://www.benefitsquickstart.com/siemens/index.html.  The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $109,100 - $147,200. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications. The annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary.
